Creating Something New! 🤔
A **chemical reaction** is a process where two or more things, called **reactants**, combine to create one or more brand-new things, called **products**. Think of it like cooking a cake! You start with ingredients like flour, sugar, and eggs (the reactants), and you end up with a delicious cake (the product). You can't just un-mix the cake to get the ingredients back.
During a chemical reaction, the atoms in the reactants rearrange themselves to form new molecules. You can often see signs that a chemical reaction is happening, like a change in color, a new smell, bubbling, or a change in temperature.
