Fossils are the preserved remains or traces of ancient organisms, typically from plants, animals, and microorganisms. Types of Fossils

• Body Fossils: These are the preserved remains of the actual body of an organism, such as bones, teeth, shells, and even soft tissues.
• Trace Fossils: These include footprints, burrows, and other marks left behind by an organism that are not part of its body.
• Amber Fossils: Fossils preserved in amber (hardened tree resin) often contain insects or small plants.
