Intro & Concept
A **coordinate plane** is a special grid used to locate points. It's like a map! It has two main lines: the horizontal **x-axis** and the vertical **y-axis**. They meet at the **origin**, which is the point (0, 0). 🗺️
To find a point, you use an **ordered pair** of numbers, written as **(x, y)**. The first number tells you how far to move along the x-axis, and the second number tells you how far to move along the y-axis.
- Start at the origin (0, 0).
- Move right along the x-axis for the first number.
- Then, move up along the y-axis for the second number.
