What are Inverse Trig Functions? 🎯
**Inverse trigonometric functions** (also called **arcfunctions**) do the opposite of regular trig functions. Instead of taking an angle to find a ratio, they take a ratio to find an angle.
For example, we know $\sin(30^\circ) = 0.5$. The inverse function, written as $\sin^{-1}(0.5)$ or $\arcsin(0.5)$, gives you the angle back: $\sin^{-1}(0.5) = 30^\circ$.
