What is a Derivative? 📈
A **derivative** is a fundamental concept in calculus that measures the **instantaneous rate of change** of a function. Geometrically, the derivative at a point is the **slope of the tangent line** to the function's curve at that point.
The derivative of a function $f(x)$ is often denoted as $f'(x)$ (read "f prime of x") or $\frac{dy}{dx}$ (read "dy dx").
