What are Volume & Surface Area?

**Volume** is the amount of three-dimensional space an object occupies. Think of it as how much water you could pour into a shape. It's measured in cubic units (e.g., $cm^3$, $m^3$).

**Surface Area** is the total area of all the faces or surfaces of a three-dimensional object. Imagine you're wrapping a gift; the amount of wrapping paper you need is the surface area. It's measured in square units (e.g., $cm^2$, $m^2$).
